Austrian Chancellor says fine, has no symptoms


(Reuters) – Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer, who tested positive for COVID-19 this week, said on Saturday that he was feeling well and showing no symptoms of the disease.

Vaccine against COVID-19 with three doses, the head of the Austrian government, who works from his home by videoconference, has also undertaken to do his best to avoid a new national confinement.

“Thanks to the vaccine, thank God I’m fine. I have no symptoms,” he said in an interview with Austrian radio, adding that he would not participate in any public meeting in the next few days.

Karl Nehammer, 49, was undoubtedly infected after contact with a member of his security service tested positive Thursday, the chancellery announced on Friday.
