Last April, Microsoft began incorporating BingAI features into its virtual keyboard: SwiftKey. On this occasion, the firm deployed various functionalities allowing, in particular, to carry out a quick search on the Web or to formulate very specific queries directly from the keyboard. But for the Redmond firm, it was obviously not enough. The latest beta version of SwiftKey Keyboard indeed presents new functions, which should not fail to interest those most keen on artificial intelligence…
After Bing Chat, Microsoft’s virtual keyboard integrates an image generator
If you are one of those who have set SwiftKey as the default keyboard on their smartphone, and who also appreciate the AI features already implemented, you will soon be able to go much further. Artem Russakovskii, the founder of the site Android Police, recently discovered a SwiftKey update from the Google Play Store. This then mentions many changes to come, starting with the imminent integration of Bing Image Creator. As a reminder, this is an image generator optimized by DALL-E artificial intelligence.
To use it, nothing could be simpler: from the search bar, all you have to do is indicate the query of your choice to find the emoji, GIF or image that will best express your current mood. This new update to SwifKey, the deployment date of which is still unknown, will also allow you to benefit from new themes for your keyboard under Material You. These will however only be accessible from a device running Android 12 (and later versions).
