(Boursier.com) — Through its investment holding company Artemis, the Pinault family is present in the capital of the new company Delage.

Founded in 1905 by Louis Delage, this prestigious car brand won many races but also many victories in the Concours d’Élégance during the Roaring Twenties. In 1935, Delahaye took control of Delage.
Finally, the brand produced its last car in 1953…

A new team intends to revive Delage. It is managed by Laurent Tapie, the son of businessman Bernard Tapie… The honorary president is a descendant of the founder in the person of Patrick Delage. F1 driver Jacques Villeneuve supports the project from a technical point of view.

Intended to relaunch the Delage adventure, the first model is the D12 which lays claim to the title of the fastest road car in the world with a top speed of 360 km/h. Equipped with a 12-cylinder hybrid engine of 1,100 horsepower, it has the same architecture and the same technical choices as an F1…

Approval is scheduled for 2023 with a selling price excluding VAT set at 2 ME… The D12 is manufactured in France with workshops located in Magny Cours in the Nièvre.
