If you want to finally own a PlayStation 5, all you have to do is… switch electricity providers?! At “E as simple” there is currently an exciting bundle with the PS5, which is to be delivered from February. There is also a second DualSense controller and a proud two years of PS Plus. In the tariff check, we find out whether the offer is worth it!
According to legend, you can hear it whirring at night in the branches of well-known electronics retailers: the PlayStation 5 is the big foot of the gaming industry and is hard to come by even long after its release. On Black Friday, many online retailers promised availability and didn’t keep it. The electricity provider “E wie SIMPLIFIED” now promises deliveries in the next 6 to 8 weeks. Reason enough to take a look at the deal.

For once, the latest tariff check is not about a mobile phone contract. Personally, I find a PS5 bundle with an electricity tariff much more attractive. This is particularly true for “E wie SIMPLIFIED”, since you get a second DualSense controller worth almost 70 euros and two years of PS Plus for the PS5.

You can get the PS5 bundle as part of a new electricity contract from the provider “E as simple”. As you probably know, the monthly price here is calculated according to the size of your household or your consumption. Therefore, it is not that easy to give a flat-rate monthly cost. I take myself as One-person household in Berlin therefore as an example of my following list of costs.

For me, the conclusion of the green electricity contract with “E as simple” would mean a small surcharge compared to my current electricity provider – Vattenfall. However, I also had the consumption regulator turned down a little here in order to pay less every month. I find the additional payment of 349 euros a little high for “E wie SIMPLIFIED”.
According to the pictures, the digital version of the PS5 without a drive is available for the electricity tariff. According to the recommended retail price, this costs 399 euros – a DualSense controller is already included. According to the price comparison, an additional controller currently costs just under 60 euros and PlayStation Plus for two years will cost you just under 120 euros. The total costs for the bundle thus amount to 579 euros. With “E as simple” you save just 230 euros. And you still have to live with the uncertainty of not knowing when the Playsi will be in your living room.
