The Silvercrest Monsieur Cuisine Connect at a glance

With the Silvercrest Monsieur Cuisine Connect, Lidl has a real alternative to the Thermomix TM6 on offer. With a price of around 400 euros, this kitchen machine is significantly cheaper than the original from Vorwerk. At first glance, the kitchen machines seem to be quite the same in terms of functionality. In the CHIP test, however, there are a few differences.

But first to the similarities: Both the Vorwerk Thermomix TM6 and the Silvercrest Monsieur Cuisine Connect offer WLAN access, a large display and numerous recipes to try out. The Thermomix, however, has around 8,800 recipes, the Silvercrest Moniseur Cuisine Connect “only” around 1,700. The accessories for both kitchen machines include a steamer attachment, a steamer insert, a scraper, measuring cup, mixer insert and integrated scales. The pot size of the Silvercrest with 3 liters is a whole corner larger than that of the Thermomix (2.2 liters). On the other hand, with a total of 41 x 47 x 49 cm, it also takes up more space than the Thermomix with 38 x 44 x 32 cm.

The real differences become clear when you take a closer look at the two kitchen machines: The workmanship of the Thermomix looks better, the material quality better. The Silvercrest Monsieur Cuisine Connect is not bad on this point, but it is also not outstanding. The touch display on the Silvercrest also reacts much more slowly. In addition, the Silvercrest kitchen machine lacks some comfort functions such as an automatic lid lock, a heat warning and some pre-selection functions for, among other things, pureeing, heating, fermenting and sous-vide.

All in all, the Silvercrest Monsieur Cuisine Connect still offers numerous cooking options, so that it achieved a school grade of 2.2 (good) in the “Cooking” test, as did the equipment with a grade of 2.3. What is also interesting about the Silvercrest is that it offers the possibility of creating your own recipes and sharing them with the community. Conversely, you can also download other people’s guided cooking recipes and save them directly on the device.

The Silvercrest Monsieur Cuisine Connect achieved an overall grade of good (2.3) at the time of the test. It is indeed behind the Vorwerk Thermomix TM6, which received the grade very good (1.3). At the required price, the Silvercrest kitchen machine is the unbeatable price-performance winner.
