The post-mortem examination, carried out at the forensic institute of Nîmes, also revealed that the two babies were female. One of them presented “head and intracranial trauma” which would be the cause of his death. “We do not know if it is violence, a fall, a lack of care or something else“, said Florence Galtier. The statements of the suspect still “very vague”

The suspect, a 41-year-old mother present on the spot when the bodies were discovered, was indicted on Friday December 2 for “murder of a minor under the age of 15”. According to the Avignon prosecutor, her statements “remain scalable” and “very blurry“, not yet allowing the investigators to precisely determine the course of the facts. In Bédoin, the locals are surprised to see this mother without history involved in such a sinister affair. “It’s a family that had never been talked about before, whether at the level of our CCAS, at the level of the rural police… Nothing.
