After two years of absence, “Baby Boom” is about to make a comeback. For the needs of the cult program articulated around childbirth, the production is looking for pregnant women ready to indulge.
A show that made us shed a few tears. Baby boomdocu-reality adapted from the British program One Born Every Minute arrived on the French small screen in 2011 and changed the way many people view motherhood. By betting on film the birth closer, TF1 succeeded in transmitting through the screen the indescribable emotion experienced by the parents, but also the daily life of caregivers working in maternity wards. After ten years of broadcastingthe cult program had nevertheless bowed out in 2021, the audiences no longer being in good shape… It was obviously only a postponement since Baby boomcould soon resume service!
As reported 20 minutesWednesday, March 8, 2023, the Charles-Nicolle maternity hospital attached to the University Hospital of Rouen (Seine-Maritime), will soon open its doors to the film crews of Baby boom. For the needs of this new season, the production is donc looking for women preparing to give life in this hospital structure between May 11 and June 11, 2023 in order to follow them until D-Day. On social networks, the maternity hospital located in Normandy announced the good news: “The Baby Boom show is setting up in our maternity ward from May 11 to June 11, 2023! To give you a taste of what you might expect by participating in Baby boom, young parents had delivered to Magic Maman after being followed by the cameras of TF1 within the hospital of Poissy (Saint-Germain-en-Laye). “Childbirth is an intimate moment. My wife and I are rather discreet in nature when it comes to our family life. However, having around twenty cameras and a production team following your actions, listening to everything you say, on the lookout for the slightest ‘Big Brother’ style deviation, is the best way to chasing the naturalness of the moment. […] I imagine that some people are able to ignore all that. Personally, I think it’s impossible to be completely yourself. We watch what we say, what we do. You don’t want to look like an idiot in front of millions of people.” And to do rather positive resultsof this experience:To relive the adventure from another angle seemed to us a chance that we should not refuse and that would not come another time.
