- A canopy for sudden rain. You never know. Just a little sun and suddenly it starts to rain. Therefore, it is better to build a pavilion to be on the safe side. It’s not a lot of work and you can take shelter for a short shower if there’s a little shower.
- Watch out for the trash. A party can create a lot of trash, especially when there are drinks, food, and gifts. Make sure nothing is left in place. And it is best to use biodegradable cutlery and crockery (e.g. made of bamboo). It’s now available in every supermarket.
4. Let the guests pre-cook. Young parents do not have time. You’re too busy breastfeeding, changing, sleeping and looking at the baby. They will be happy if they can just warm up their food. So let each guest cook something for the parents-to-be. This has another advantage: You can examine the sweet baby directly when picking up the fresh storage box. Almost a win-win situation.
5. Extraordinary invitation cards. If you are organizing a baby shower, you also have to take care of the invitations. Special invitation cards are especially sweet at baby showers. - Assign baby photos. A cute game that’s guaranteed to have lots of ahs and ohs. Each guest brings a baby photo of themselves. First, all photos are attached to a large pin board. Then each party guest gets a pen with a different color. Then the guests write all their names on slips of paper and match the names to the photos. Whoever guesses the most people correctly at the end wins.
Baby shower: the best gift ideas
For a baby shower it is appropriate to bring a gift for the soon-to-be mother. These are mostly baby items. Parents are happy about everything. Whether consumables such as diapers, wet wipes and baby wound cream or everyday items such as dummy, baby bottles and teethers. And of course any kind of vouchers are welcome.
