After “Children of the Worm” and “Tunnels of Terror”, Back 4 Blood will have the right to third expansion. Named “River of Blood”, it will be available in early December 2022. Warner Bros. Games and Turtle Rock Studios recently shared information about the content of this upcoming expansion.
Back 4 Blood third expansion release date and content
The release date of the “River of Blood” expansion of Back 4 Blood is set to December 6, 2022. Note, above all, that this additional content is in the Back 4 Blood Annual Pass as well as in the Deluxe and Ultimate editions. It can also be purchased separately.
Via this third expansion, players will be able to discover a new story campaign and will thus have to face new enemy threats “. Additionally, a new character will be introduced in the roster: this is Tala, ” a former cult follower turned Cleaner “. Furthermore, the Friendly Giant Jeff can be invoked by the teams. Without forgetting, of course, new weapons, accessories and maps. Finally, “River of Blood” contains eight character skins and twelve exclusive weapon skins.
On that date, developers at Turtle Rock Studios will also deploy a new free update, or “Trial of the Worm”. This will introduce a cooperative PvE mode ” in which players choose their path along a chain of four maps while earning supply points along the way “. Teams will be able to increase the difficulty by taking more dangerous paths and applying Corruption modifiers, for example.
