Back to the ranch, season 20 of Brawl Stars unveiled during the Brawl Talk

The new season 20 of Brawl Stars “Back to the Ranch” is about to be released with many novelties unveiled during the Brawl Talk. Two new champions are planned for the program as well as a new feature, “hypercharge”.

Two new brawlers for season 20 of Brawl Stars

For this season, the clashes take place in a “Far West” atmosphere, where the Brawlers Shelly, Colt and Spike come from. Two new brawlers will be available, “Pearl” in the battle pass and “Chuck”, unlockable in the star route.

Pearl, creator of hot, very hot cookies

This Brawler is literally a cookie machine brought to life, built by Belle and Sam. Fearsome at mid-range, it is able to control its temperature to increase its damage.

Her basic attack throws many cookies in front of her. Although the attack is not very precise, a cookie should almost always hit its target.

However, be careful not to be next to her when her super is available. She unleashes a large explosion around her capable of destroying obstacles on the ground.

Chuck, lead the trains!

This former conductor has become a train driver. Still, he’s not about to drop his wand, except on his opponents’ heads.

Its basic attack projects burning steam capable of hitting opponents 3 times. The perfect combination of Amber Attack and Eliz@.

As for his super, he creates “crossing points” which allow him, once connected, to move between them very quickly.

Hypercharge, new item for level 11

Great novelty of this season 20, it is now possible to unlock the new item “Hypercharge” at power level 11 of a champion. This new mechanic allows you to obtain a “hypercharge gauge” in combat which increases in the same way as the super attack.

Once full and activated, it greatly increases the characteristics of the Brawler for a short period. In addition, its effect also acts on the super skill of the champion, granting him additional abilities. Thus, it is a whole new system to take into play during the games.

However, it will therefore be necessary to climb a brawler to the maximum level to take advantage of it. A news that will delight the big players where, the small ones will not have access to it for a long time. Finally, these hypercharged powers will initially be reserved for a limited number of brawlers. In addition unlockable for 2 weeks via paid packs in the store, before being available for free for all.

Brawler Progression Changes

If the Hypercharge reaches level 11, the other power tiers are rebalanced to make progression more logical. As a result, brawlers unlock bonus slots from level 8 according to the following sequence:

  • LV 8 : Equipment slot 1
  • LV 10 : Equipment slot 2
  • LV 9 : Star power slot
  • LV 11 : Hypercharge slot

Season 20 Brawl Talk Changes

Unlike the previous one, this season is full of information, changes and predictions for future improvements in the game.

Bonus stats for brawlers

To continue to make progression more logical, brawlers will continue to get bonus stats up to level 11.

These changes affect all brawlers and represent a 5-10% increase in their overall power.

Removed 2 permanent game modes

To ensure the ability to quickly find players to start games, there will now be 4 permanent game modes.

The “survivor” and “brawlball” modes will remain permanent without surprises. The two slots will be changed more regularly to accommodate the other game modes available.

Finally, the “Prime”, “Heist” and “Reserved Zone” modes will be much less present in the game.

New in-game cosmetic effects

The most expensive skins in the game will gradually get effects when they knock out a brawler.

The first effect to be released will be reserved for Stu’s legendary skin, “Sporty Stu”, which will be available during this update.

However, the full list of affected skins is not yet available.

brawl stars world finals

The world final at Dreamhack in Sweden

The outcome of the Brawl Stars World Championships will take place during the “Dreamhack Winter” event in Sweden.

Important note, during these events unique arrangements are often deployed to reward spectators. Thus unique skins like “Raging Tara” could appear there.

Star Cup, the next step for Brawl Stars

This season’s Brawl Talk closes with a look back at the latest updates. Although they did not tick all the boxes of the predictions promised the previous year, they are not far from it. Indeed, it lacks redesigns of the social aspect and PvM clashes.

These points will be revisited in different forms in future updates. In particular, many aspects of the game such as the battle pass, game modes or the number of appearances of new champions are being studied.

Club League 2.0 approaching

The current version of club leagues is considered too complex to understand and therefore not affordable for new players. Without giving specific details, version 2.0 of these leagues is announced.

However, they have recently been dispossessed of a large part of their rewards in favor of Starr rewards. It therefore seems necessary to reconsider a previous decision to achieve this, which is not always easy for such a popular game.
