Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse brings the popular web-slinger back to the big screen in 2023. The animation sequel will be even more spectacular than its predecessor.

“Spider-Man: A New Universe” was euphorically received by film fans in 2018. The animated film told a completely original, highly creative and multi-universe story. Of course there was a lot of interest in a sequel, but it would be five years before Miles Morales was finally allowed to bring law and order back to the big screen.
In June 2023, half a year after the planned release date in November 2022, “Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse” will start in cinemas. The film will be the start of a two-parter and film number 3 has now also been given a new title with “Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse”.
The first 15 minutes of the “Spider-Verse” sequel were shown at the CinemaCon in Las Vegas and more was revealed about the ambitious successor. 1,000 people are currently working on the film, the largest crew for an animated film that has ever existed. In addition, the scope of the story is gigantic, 240 characters and 6 universes will play a role in “Across the Spider-Verse”.
The presentation at CinemaCon made it clear why Miles Morales and the Spider-Verse are only returning after several years and the film has now been postponed again: The Sony team wants to present the best possible film and is taking its time. A good reason to wait a little longer.
