(CercleFinance.com) – The British Ministry of Defense has awarded BAE Systems a contract for the maintenance and repair of L119 light cannons in Ukraine.
This contract means that L119s donated by the UK to Ukraine can be maintained in the country and returned to the front line more quickly.
‘The L119 light cannon has proven to be a reliable system that Ukrainian forces have favored due to its precise firepower, light weight, low logistical requirements and mobility,’ the group said.
‘Our partner’s establishment of a strategic military repair facility will significantly reduce the amount of time artillery equipment is out of service,’ said Gabby Costigan, group general manager, business development.
