Just seen on the catwalks of internationally acclaimed designers and already on our wishlist: The new It-Bags are in the starting blocks – but we will tell you here which one really has the potential to become a cult bag.

The fight for the next cult bag for autumn-winter 2020/2021 has already started. There are: Bottega Veneta, Dior, Loewe, Givenchy and Versace. But which new bag in the fashion ring has the greatest potential?

“Lady Dior” microbag

“Never change a winning team” is a slogan that the Dior fashion house has taken to heart for the next season. Because with their “Lady Dior” they have already brought a very successful model onto the market. So why design something new? A miniature version of the Dior classic made of lambskin, decorated with cannage stitching and pendants, should now take our hearts by storm. However, the bag has one catch: The porters: in should focus on the essentials. Because the It-Bag only offers space for AirPods, lipstick and keys.

“Mount” by Bottega Veneta

At least since the “Padded Cassette” we love the designs of the Italian label Bottega Veneta. And the new models in the autumn / winter 2020/2021 collection also offer great potential for it bags. In particular the “Mount”, available in five different colors, has a high recognition value due to its stylish curvert shape and the chunky chain details.

“La Greca Signature Tote” from Versace

Tote bags are not only infinitely practical, they can also be used in a variety of ways. So it’s no wonder that most of us have at least one in our closet – and maybe shop for another one. Because the “La Greca Signature Tote” from the designer house Versace not only scores with its spaciousness. A visual highlight is the print created by Donatella Versace, which reinterprets the iconic “Greca” motif, which has been with the brand since 1988. Now it reminds us of a 3-D maze that we like to get lost in.

“4G” from Givenchy

A bag that came from two exciting sources of inspiration: biker bomber jackets and car seats from the 1950s. The result is the “4G”, the flagship model from Givenchy creative director Matthew M. Williams. The bag is available with a shoulder strap or a chain strap and is visually impressive thanks to the material mix of fabric and leather.

“Goya” from Loewe

It doesn’t always have to be spectacular: The Spanish fashion house Loewe proves how beautiful a simple, reduced design and compact format can be for bags. With “Goya” you are relying on a classic model with which you can be dressed elegantly and timelessly in no time. A visual highlight is the golden anagram of the bag as well as the special colors, such as this sunny yellow.
