Baker Hughes: contract with Bechtel around an LNG project


(CercleFinance.com) – Baker Hughes announced yesterday that it has obtained an order from Bechtel Energy Inc. (Bechtel) for three main refrigeration compressors (MRCs) for NextDecade’s Rio Grande LNG project in the port of Brownsville (Texas).

In total, Baker Hughes will supply six Frame 7 gas turbines associated with 18 centrifugal compressors for a nominal capacity of 17.61 million tons per year of LNG (liquid natural gas).

“This order builds on our long-standing relationship with Bechtel and is an important step in our partnership with NextDecade, supporting them on this key LNG project,” said Ganesh Ramaswamy, Executive Vice President of Industrial and Energy Technology. at Baker Hughes.
