We don’t achieve balance overnight. Here we reveal what promotes inner balance and how you can get there.

In times of overstimulation, endless to-do lists and constant self-optimization, we want balance. But what exactly does the term stand for? It means something like balance, harmony or inner balance. So it is something that is exactly in the right proportion.

A relaxation exercise alone does not create inner balance. If you want inner balance, it makes sense to start holistically. So to consider both physical and mental aspects, because body and mind are of course not separate from each other, but a team – at least they should be. That sounds like a mammoth task, but it’s worth it, because you will benefit in the long term from being balanced.

Inner balance and body

You can not only achieve equilibrium through inner equilibrium, your body also plays a key role in this. Therefore, you should not underestimate your diet and exercise in your life.

Your body is your temple …

… it’s not called for nothing. For one, keep regular exercise keep your body healthy, on the other hand, it is good for the Stress relief. If the saying “sport is murder” crosses your mind, you have probably not found the right sport for you. Nobody has to torment themselves to stay physically fit. Find an exercise that you enjoy. If you’re not a water lover, skip the pool and do something else. Try until you find something that suits you.

Also conscious diet is not difficult at all. Drink a lot (especially water), eat a varied diet and avoid sugar and junk food – you’ve already gained a lot with that. Emotional eating, such as eating out of boredom, occurs in many people and is not a drama in individual cases. Only when it becomes a habit could it become problematic. If you have a tendency to do so, you should question your behavior and find out why you are doing it.

Also the sleep contributes a lot to general well-being and balance. Who does not know that: If you are tired and exhausted, things do not go as easily as usual. You can find out more about healthy sleep here.

Inner balance and spirit

If you are under constant stress, an inner balance is very unlikely. Fortunately, there are many ways to reduce stress. Relaxation techniques such as breathing exercises or yoga are suitable for this.

In addition to relaxation, the mental component also includes other aspects from different areas of life, such as:

Without an individual work-life balance, it becomes difficult to get a grip on stress in the long term. It is not at all a matter of the fact that both have to be distributed equally. Rather, you set the right priorities: What is currently in focus? Do you invest a lot of time in your work and are you happy with it? Excellent! Would you rather have more time for an honorary position? Then do that!

We often look to our body when it comes to wellbeing (and that’s not wrong either!), But also ours social contacts play an essential role in being balanced. It is not for nothing that this point is part of many models for a successful life. Loneliness can make you sick in the long run. As social beings, we need community and exchange with others.

Emotional balance

People have feelings and that’s a good thing! Or do you want to miss the emotions at your wedding, when you passed your final exam or during your dream vacation? Just like positive feelings, we also have negative feelings. Ousting them may be successful in the short term, but not in the long term. Feelings help you understand what you need and what is important to you. Meditation can help you understand feelings.
