Balthazar: a season 5 ordered even before the broadcast of season 4 on TF1

While the unpublished season 4 of “Balthazar”, which will see Tomer Sisley form a new shocking duo with Constance Labbé, will be broadcast on TF1 from March 10, the channel has already ordered a season 5, the filming of which will begin in a few weeks.

Good news for fans of the Balthazar series with Tomer Sisley: even before the launch of the new season 4 on TF1, the channel has already ordered a season 5, the shooting of which will begin very soon in the Paris region.

After a third season broadcast at the end of 2020 which ended in a bloodbath, Balthazar will be back on Thursday March 10 on TF1 for a fourth season in the form of a revival which will welcome Constance Labbé in the role of Camille Costes. A new investigator who will now team up with the pathologist who speaks to the dead, after the departure of Hélène de Fougerolles, alias Hélène Bach.

Without waiting for the audiences for season 4 and the public’s feedback on this new character – we can already tell you that Constance Labbé is excellent in this role – the channel has therefore validated a fifth batch of episodes which, according to our information, should begin filming on March 15.

TF1 has confirmed to us that Tomer Sisley and Constance Labbé would be very faithful to the position in the skin of Raphaël Balthazar and Camille Costes, but does not yet decide on the number of episodes that this season 5 will include.

On the screenplay side, these new investigations will be written by Clothilde Jamin, who co-created the series and is also its producer and showrunner, as well as by Nicolas Clément, Marion Carnel, Julie-Anna Grignon, Gauthier Plancquaert, and Eliane Vigneron.

Flagship series of TF1 with HPI, which had gathered an average of 6.48 million viewers over the whole of its season 3 in 2020 in watch audience, Balthazar therefore still has good days ahead of it, to the delight of fans of this funny and very dark detective fiction.
