Balthazar: will there be a season 5?

Continuation and end for season 4 of Balthazar, this Thursday, April 14 at 9 p.m. on TF1, with the broadcast of episodes 8 and 9. After three seasons with Hélène de Fougerolles in the role of captain Hélène Bach, it was Constance Labbé who replaced her by interpreting the captain Camille Costes, new partner of the forensic pathologist Raphaël Balthazar, meanwhile always played brilliantly by Tomer Sisley. On the occasion of this season 4 finale, Télé Star looks at the future of the series and wonders if a season 5 will see the light of day.

And we have good news and bad news for fans of the series. A season 5 of Balthazar will be broadcast on TF1 in 2023. But, bad news, it will be the last. “We shouldn’t delay in attacking the filming of the fifth and final season of Balthazar”, explained Tomer Sisley, a few weeks ago on TF1. This stoppage of the detective series will allow the actor to focus on his new projects: “There is Largo Winch 3 looming on the horizon. Which could arrive at the end of the year. And then there are 3, 4, 5 other projects which are in development at the moment”.

Balthazar, season 4 finale: what audiences for this new season?

On March 10, TF1 broadcast the first two episodes of season 4 of Balthazar. And this new season started with a bang with 5.96 million viewers watching the first steps of Constance Labbé. The 17th of March, 5.57 million viewers have chosen TF1. On March 24, they were nearly 6 million to follow the adventures of Raphaël Balthazar. On March 31, 5.9 million of viewers chose to watch the TF1 detective series. Finally, on April 7, 5.67 million viewers were still ahead of Tomer Sisley and Constance Labbé. This April 14, for the finale of season 4, the bar of 6 million viewers could be crossed.
