It is a report that is far from unanimous. Thursday February 4, 2021, Elice Lucet was back with a new issue of Cash Investigation titled "Our Dearest Banks." And once again, this new episode caused a stir on social networks. The reason ? This time the teams of France 2 conducted a survey of debt collection companies. To do this, a reporter from the show managed to get hired by Hoïst, a company specializing in loan payment support. Filmed on a hidden camera, the latter was able to collect testimonials from employees, former or current. "We play on the ignorance of people", "It's a bit as if we were the garbage collectors of the consumer society", can we hear among the many confessions. And the information broadcast by the documentary have made internet users react a lot : "The whole of France has just learned thatafter 2 years, a debt is foreclosed"," We understand their appeal. Legal action to cancel the broadcast
In order to strengthen interactivity with Internet users, France 2 simply decided to broadcast the report Cash Investigation in preview on its site, one week before its broadcast. An initiative that did not delight the Hoïst company, which has, according to The Parisian, brought legal action against the channel to cancel the television broadcast. According to the magazine, company employees argued "an attack on the image, violation of privacy, security and the risk of reprisals", believing to be easily identifiable. For his part, Hoïst invoked an article of the Labor Code which requires him to ensure "safety and protect physical and mental health" of its staff. A request rejected by the Paris tribunal de grande instance. After discovering the report, some Internet users reacted to this desire: "You amaze me that Hoist wanted ban the broadcast of the show!" can we read. Others were keen to applaud the work of Élise Lucet's teams: "Regardless, the work done is massive, congratulations to the entire Cash Investigation team. "
The whole of France has just learned that after 2 years, a debt is foreclosed.
