Barbara Meier (37) will soon be a guest on BR television. She will be seen in a guest role in the successful format “Dahoam is Dahoam” for three episodes, the broadcaster announced. The episodes are expected to air at the end of February 2024.

“Many of my family are loyal ‘DiD’ fans,” says the model, who became known as the winner of the second season of “Germany’s Next Top Model” and is also an actress. When she met Silke Popp (50) “at a dirndl shoot, the idea was quickly born that I could perhaps take on a guest role,” she continues. Popp plays Uschi Kirchleitner in the series. Meier is happy “that it’s working now and that my parents can see me in Lansing soon.”

Barbara Meier as the all-too-perfect managing director

On November 21st and 22nd, the model was already on the set of “Dahoam is Dahoam” in the series village near Dachau. In the three episodes, Meier takes on the role of Anita Holzammer, an “over-perfect” brewery manager. Together with Uschi, she is supposed to give a speech to the Bavarian Association of Women Entrepreneurs, but this turns out to be a challenge.

“Dahoam is Dahoam”: Barbara Meier speaks in her native dialect

The Amberg native has no lack of acting experience. Meier has already been able to demonstrate her talent in a number of films and series – including “Army of Thieves” alongside Matthias Schweighöfer (42). Editorial director Daniela Boehm is impressed by the appearance in the broadcaster’s statement: “Barbara Meier is now an experienced actress, she is speaking to us for the first time in her beautiful home dialect – Upper Palatinate. So of course she fits very well into our Bavarian series.”

“Dahoam is Dahoam” runs regularly from Monday to Thursday from 7:30 p.m. on BR television. It was only in October that the responsible body of the BR Broadcasting Council gave the green light for 340 more episodes of the Bavarian cult series, which has been on the air for around 16 years.
