In theaters since Wednesday, “Barbie” brings the most famous of dolls to life. Alongside Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, we find a promising young actress, Ariana Greenblatt.
What if Barbie left the perfect world of dolls and set out to discover the real world? This is the premise of Greta Gerwig’s comedy, in theaters since July 19. On her way, Barbie (Margot Robbie) will cross paths with a human, Sasha, played by Ariana Greenblatt.
At only fifteen years old, she already has a promising start to her career. With a father and grandparents producing on Broadway, it’s no surprise that she got into comedy at an early age. At age 8, she began her career on television at Disney and Nickelodeon, appearing furtively in the series Liv and Maddie And Legendary Dudasas well as in the clip Disney Channel Stars: Duck Tales Theme Song.

This year the young actress has a double news. After starring with Adam Driver from 65 – the Earth before (which was a bitter failure), she is now in one of the feature films events of 2023 with Barbie. She plays Sasha, the daughter of America Ferrara. An inconvenient teenager who hasn’t played with dolls for a while and who will give Barbie a hard time. “Sasha is a very direct, very cultured girl and she thinks logically. She has an opinion on almost everything and she doesn’t sugarcoat anything. She always tells others her way of thinking and at school she is the most popular girl, so most people are afraid of her. It was really fun to play this role”explains Ariana Greenblatt.
We will find her in 2024 on the poster of another highly anticipated film, Borderlands, the adaptation of the video game of the same name by Eli Roth. She will be surrounded by an impressive cast: Cate Blanchett, Kevin Hart, Jack Black and Jamie Lee Curtis.
