Google Bard AI, the experimental chatbot that uses artificial intelligence to generate text responses to user questions and requests, is about to come to Google Messages.
While Bard would already be on the verge of supporting Google Assistant, Google would also be on the verge of integrating its recent AI into its Messages application. According to tipster Assembler Debug, who discovered the feature in the beta code of the Google Messages app, the functions improved by AI are present in the codee, but are not yet available and do not seem to work.
The project’s codename, “Penpal”, was noted in a beta version (20240111_04_RC00) of the Google Messages app. However, according to the leaked images, you can use Bard to help you write SMSas well as setting up a meeting, calling in sick from your boss, and having other difficult conversations.

Google Bard arrives in Messages
Bard in Google Messages could also help you translate conversations and identify images, as well as exploring areas of interest. The code suggests it could also provide book recommendations and recipe ideas. The app is supposed to use your location data and information about past conversations to generate accurate responses. You can also react to Bard’s answer by giving a thumbs up or down, as well as copying, forwarding and liking his answers, which allows the AI to know if its response was appropriate.
According to 9to5Google, Bard can be accessed by selecting the “New conversation” option, which allows Bard to be selected as a standalone chat option. You must be eighteen to use it, and conversations with Bard in the Messages app aren’t end-to-end encrypted or treated as private, unlike messages exchanged with your contacts. It is therefore best to avoid sending personal or sensitive messages through the app when Bard is enabled.
Google specifies that conversation histories are retained for eighteen months to improve Bard and that they can be viewed by an individual, but that no information is associated with your account beyond three years. So Google recommends not saying anything to Bard that you wouldn’t want others to see.
