BATHROOM: Finally a really comfortable bath?

BADESOFA, an underwater pillow that is supposed to bring a sofa feeling into the bathtub. I have to say that the invention from the Vox show “Die Höhle der Löwen” sounds like paradise to me as an absolute bathing fan. Because I think there is hardly anything better than retreating into the bathtub in the cold season. For me this is THE wellness break in everyday life. The fact that this should now also be much more comfortable and downright cozy makes me curious and I’m looking forward to testing the BADESOFA.

BADESOFA from “Die Höhle der Löwen”: What is that exactly?

At the BATHROOM it is basically exactly what bathtub junkies like me have been missing: a Underwater cushionsthat one right relaxing in the bathtub should enable. The head and neck should be soft and relaxed, the spine should be relieved.

Founders Annika Götz and Natalie Steger themselves found the fact that bathtubs are often beautiful but not really cozy to be a problem and therefore began to tinker with their BADESOFA. “BADESOFA was created because we wanted to solve our own problem: Many beautiful bathtubs may look great, but you can rarely lean back and relax in them. Now we want to revolutionize bathing – with a functional, high-quality and stylish product,” she said Female founders.

The special feature: the BADESOFA can simply remain in the tub after bathing. The inventors promise that the high-quality, mold-resistant pillow dries quickly. It couldn’t be easier! The combination of functionality and maximum comfort also convinced Ralf Dümmel and so there was no question that he wanted to invest in BADESOFA.

I test: Does the BADESOFA keep what it promises?

My next bathtub break is coming up and I’m looking forward to it. The beautiful pillow has been in the tub for a few days and is waiting for me. I like that it is simple and therefore fits well in our bathroom. The solid mother-of-pearl-colored fabric and the Velcro fastener on the edge look high-quality. Overall, the pillow exudes elegance and a certain coolness and brings something like a lounge feeling into our bathroom.

Bath + sofa = BATH SOFA

The water runs in and I notice how the pillow is getting heavier. It does not stay like a stone at the bottom of the tub, but it is not driven directly upwards either. When the tub is full and I lie down on the pillow, it’s actually like sitting on a comfortable sofa, only much better – because I’m in the bathtub!

There is one downer, however. However, this has nothing to do with the BADESOFA, but rather with the size of our tub. Unfortunately, it is a bit small, so I can’t stretch my legs with the pillow in my back. Therefore, the makers of BADESOFA also recommend choosing the pillow size according to the size of the bathtub. Anyway, I still enjoy the bath a lot.

Almost a bit of hocus-pocus

But it gets really exciting after the bathing break. Does the pillow really dry as quickly and easily as the founders promise? Yes, and to be honest, I am amazed at how quickly it can be done. For the next few hours I keep testing how the BADESOFA feels and turning it around (recommended) so that it dries evenly. And after just a few hours it is so dry that I would even take it with me on our real sofa in the living room without hesitation. Water stains or accumulated moisture in any cracks on the pillow – no result! Almost like magic …

I think the BADESOFA is just great! I can only recommend the pillow to all bathtub fans because it increases relaxation in the bathtub many times over. The fact that it also looks pretty and is functionally flawless makes it an all-round ingenious product.
