Sarah Knappik returns, Emmy Russ yells and another candidate flies out surprisingly.

The fifth episode of “Kampf der Realitystars” (Wednesday, 8:15 p.m. on RTLzwei, also on RTL+) seamlessly picks up where the last episode ended. Sarah Knappik (36) and Manni Ludolf (60) were voted out by their colleagues, but still get a chance. Whoever deducts the most money from their fee gets to stay.

Manni pokers Sarah’s bet up, he secretly enters only one euro. As much as Serkan Yavuz’ (29) total fee. Sarah falls for Manni’s playful move, although it sends clear signals of irony. She waives 8,000 euros in order to be allowed to stay in the sala.

Three new ones in the sala

The former “GNTM” candidate rubs the newcomers right under the nose that she has bought herself back into the show. She gets plenty of opportunity to do so, because three new stars are moving in. First comes Sascha Sirtl (45). As the 2005 “Big Brother” winner, he became a reality star before the term even existed. At that time he stayed in the container for a year, so a few days in the Thai sala shouldn’t be a problem for him.

Then follows Peggy Jerofke (47). With her ex-partner Steff Jerkel (54), she was accompanied by “Goodbye Germany” as a Mallorca emigrant, now she is traveling solo. Finally, Nico Patschinski (46) sails up. Football fans might only know him as the “world cup winner”, as the winning goal scorer for FC St. Pauli in a legendary game against Bayern Munich in 2002. But his roommates are not football fans.

Giulia Siegel loses her voice and nerves

The punishment game is once again unspectacular. The stars have to categorize headlines according to their truthfulness. Since they were wrong five times, five people are chained together – once three stars, once two – with enough distance. There have been worse punishments.

It’s getting hotter on the wall of truth. The candidates have to determine which of them the viewers generally no longer want to see, who is chosen. The worst judgment she can make in her job. Giulia Siegel (48) ends up at the front or at the back of the audience’s favor. As punishment, she loses her voice and will henceforth be dubbed in Darth Vader fashion. A dispute over a trifle – Matthias Mangiapane (39) is said not to have listened to her – sounds even more bizarre than it already is.

Forced date for Paul and Eva

Paul Janke (41) also gets a penalty. He has to go on a date in the editorial office with Eva Benetatou (31). Or may, if you ask her. Despite a candlelight dinner and an invitingly decorated camp bed, there is no atmosphere. She wants, that’s more than clear. She finds him “interesting as a man”.

The bachelor excuses himself once more, mumbling something about the “complete package” that has to be right. Things would be very different outside, says the experienced TV dater, but he feels “uncomfortable” here. Eva doesn’t want to accept the rejection and fantasizes about looks that say more than words.

In the safety game “Wetten, wer nicht” the stars have to let their actions speak for themselves. Various challenges are pending, for example throwing a ball into a basket without hands. The celebrities have to write on a tablet who they least trust to solve the task. If the chosen one does not pass the test, he is not safe. But if he succeeds, he can eliminate a colleague who sent him to the mission with a tablet. Daniel Schmidt (39) narrowly beats Giulia and is sure of a nomination.

Emmy Russ offends everyone

Emmy Russ (23) has a negative impact on the game. Although she passes the netball challenge, she gives the game directors Sascha, Peggy and Nico the middle finger – although they can do the least for something. She also takes on Matthias, who sends her out after a challenge has been completed.

So it’s clear to the newcomers that they’ll vote Emmy out after the finger-finger gate. But Peggy thinks tactically. If they wave Emmy to the next round now, there’s someone the contenders could pounce on in the upcoming episode. And they, the newbies, would be out of the line of fire.

Could Peggy persuade her fellow newcomers? But first there is the ostracism by the established candidates. Contrary to the usual process. At first, the stars seem to have zeroed in on Emmy. But the youngest of the season also gets puppy protection from some participants – or fresh meat protection in the case of Daniel. Instead of Emmy, Percival Duke gets the most coins. He didn’t fight enough, says one or the other campaigner when he voted. He happily admits that to the singer, who only checked in in the last episode. He had no ambitions, he was only happy about a paid holiday in Thailand.

Then it is the turn of the three newcomers. And they actually give Emmy a second chance. She hardly knows what’s happening to her, wonders herself how she was able to survive this round. Instead, Sascha, Peggy and Nico choose Giulia. Without much justification.
