DICE will have taken time to disseminate the Season 1 of Battlefield 2042released more than half a year after the launch of the game. It will be faster for the Season 2: Master of Armswhich officially lands this Tuesday, August 30 at 2:00 p.m. on all platforms, with a lot of new content.
Waiting for the system Classes and the other innovations of the Season 3we will be able to take advantage of the map Groundingfrom Specialist Charlie Crawfordcars EBCL-Ram and Polaris RZRweapons AM40, Avancys and PF51the new stun grenade, M16A3 and M60E4 which join the classic online games, or even M2 carbine, FM Bren, M95, M249 SAW and AEK-971 in Portal. Add to that cosmetic content to be obtained via the Battlepassnew special missions and a bunch of modifications for the gameplay, and you get a nice boost for the weeks to come. What’s new in Season 2?
Here’s an overview of the new Season 2 content, as well as some of the major changes and improvements:
- New Map: Grounding;

What other changes and improvements does Update 2.0.0 bring?
- A new home screen provides an overview of all available game modes.
- Rush returns as a permanent game mode.
- Stealth Helicopters are getting balance adjustments
- Assault Rifles and Submachine Guns are receiving balance adjustments to headshot multipliers.
- In Breakthrough and Rush mode, you automatically switch sides (attack/defense) for one round after the end of round screen before moving on to the next map.
- Custom Conquest has been added to the Battlefield Portal Editor as a new Conquest game mode, with customizable options for capture points and logic options for the rules editor.
When can you play?
Season 1 will officially end on August 30 at 10:00 a.m. CEST, the time at which the 2.0.0 update will be available. Season 2 content progression will be available the same day at 2:00 p.m. CEST.
As soon as Season 2 launches, you will be able to play the new Grounding map directly, which will be permanently available in the lists for Conquest and Breakthrough modes. You can also start unlocking new Battle Pass rewards like the Crawford Specialist or weapons, vehicle, and gadget.
What can you expect from the next update?
At the moment, the next update of the game is planned between the end of September and the beginning of October. Along with fixes and tweaks, it will include the reworked version of Renewal, the Polaris RZR environment vehicle, and new Vault weapons in All-Out Warfare.
