Bayonetta 3: Platinum speaks up to defend Jennifer Hale, the new voice of Bayonetta

The case around the dubbing of Bayonetta 3 keeps presenting new elements that give food for thought, and which make this whole story much more complex than one could have imagined. Although investigations have revealed that Hellena Taylorthe former voice actress of Bayonettawould have finally been entitled to a higher salary offer than what she had declared, the studio PlatinumGames has so far declined to comment on the ongoing controversy. But when Bayonetta’s new voice, Jennifer Haleis the victim of harassment, the studio is obliged to intervene.

The actress is abused on the networks

Since the beginning of this business, people, whom we will not be afraid to qualify as profoundly stupid, went to harass Jennifer Hale for accepting the role instead of Hellena Taylor.

A harassment to which the actress had already answered logically asking everyone to calm down and be respectful, but you know the internet, stupidity has no limit. Faced with the multiple insults she receives, PlatinumGames has decided to intervene publicly for the very first time in this case.with the following press release:

At PlatinumGames, we express our deepest gratitude to everyone who has helped create the Bayonetta series over the years, and to the community that served as its foundation. We give our full support to Jennifer Hale as the new Bayonetta, and we align ourselves with everything said in her statement.. We ask people to refrain from any other comments that would disrespect Jennifer or any of the other contributors to the series. »

A call for calm and politeness which, we hope, will calm some minds, even if we have no illusions. We are now waiting to know the whole story behind this controversy, which is decidedly very thorny.

Bayonetta 3 will be available exclusively on Nintendo Switch from October 28.
