Actors versus rappers, Frederick Lau versus Marteria. In the latest “Beat the Star” duel, nothing was given.
When two good celebrity friends like actor Frederick Lau (32) and rapper Marteria (39) meet in “Schlag den Star”, it can sometimes be more bitter than ever. The two stars proved that on the latest edition of the ProSieben show on April 30 and went the full distance until almost 1:00 a.m. At the end of game 15, Lau was finally able to be chosen as the winner and collect the 100,000 euro prize money.
Originally, Lau should have played against professional footballer Max Kruse at the beginning of the year, but had to cancel due to corona disease. Maybe lucky in disguise, there would have been a certain condition gap in this match-up. Because what Lau and Marteria actually got themselves into, they realized early on. Both didn’t really shine with their inexhaustible stamina and panted like steam engines after the first few games.
Traditionally, the “Beat the Star” blow is still enough to quarrel and lament, as Lau then proved in “Mini Tennis” and discovered his inner mini Zverev. In contrast to his freak, which recently went around the world, the actor was able to control himself and win the match.
Tight box
Lau was able to successfully fend off two match points for Marteria, who was now leading 50:28. The all-important lap 15 was as close as could be imagined – Lau even had the lead at this point with 55 to 50.
Endurance was required for the last time in the game “Keep Balls”: The goal was to keep a medicine ball clamped between your feet in the air for as long as possible. The Lau had slightly tighter thighs and, after almost five hours of broadcasting, clinched the victory with 70:50 and was completely exhausted.
