On Thursday August 3, 2023, Princess Beatrice of York participated in the podcast of Made by dyslexia, lessons in dyslexic thinking. The show, hosted by Kate Griggs, the founder of the Made by dyslexia association, is used to welcoming dyslexic personalities and giving them a voice. On this occasion, the eldest of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson spoke about the dyslexic thoughts she suffers from and how they shaped his life in a positive way. In particular, she explained how they allowed her to think differently and more creatively. As reported Hello Magazine, Eugenie d’York, always very close to her big sister, wanted to publicly share her support. It was on her Instagram account that she decided to reveal the extract from the podcast, congratulating her: “I am so proud of you Beabea. […] You’ve done an amazing job raising awareness about what it’s like to be a dyslexic thinker by sharing your own experience. Your thinking has made you the incredible person you are and inspires me every day”.

Still in the podcast, Princess Beatrice continued the revelations about her dyslexic disorder and the one she secretly married. In particular, she revealed that her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, is also dyslexic and discussed the consequences this could have on their children. “As two dyslexics, and as parents we need to determine whether our children are dyslexic or not, and how to best support them“. The royal couple has so far given birth to a little girl, Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi, born in September 2021 in London, tenth in the order of succession to the British throne. The 33-year-old mother then explained to Kate Griggs how publicly addressing her disorder helped her in this situation: “Being part of this community has given me a better understanding of the situation and I wish that was the case for all parents”. One thing is certain, the princess can also ask her little sister for advice. Eugenie is the mother of two little boys: August, born in February 2021 and little Ernest, born in June 2023.
