Skin and hair care products make beauty lover Eva’s heart beat faster. Here she reveals which products are her favourites.

A look into my beauty bag immediately reveals that I am an absolute hair and skin care freak. I can confidently do without heavy foundation and opaque powder – maybe also because my skin is very sensitive and usually looks like a battlefield after the make-up has been removed. That’s why I love skin care, I adore chemical peels – everything for the glow – and serums of all kinds. And although I like to test new products, I’ve found my “essentials” that just always work. I’ll tell you what they are now.

Exfoliating Cleanser by No Cosmetics

A good cleansing is the be-all and end-all of my beauty routine. Since I have very sensitive and rather dry skin, the Cleanser from Nø is just right. It cleans very gently, without mechanical particles that can irritate the skin. The combination of AHA + PHA is super effective and helps to achieve a real radiant complexion.

Paula’s Choice chemical peel with BHA

Fortunately, the times when I was “afraid” of chemical peels are over. They sound… well, kinda chemical too. Paula’s Choice BHA Exfoliant was an absolute game changer for me for supple and healthy skin. The salicylic acid (BHA) is oil-soluble and penetrates deep into the pores. It prevents blemishes and helps get rid of excess sebum. Products with salicylic acid also have an anti-inflammatory effect and reduce redness.

Maybelline cream blush

As mentioned, I’m not a fan of heavy makeup products. What I really like, on the other hand, are light textures à la crème blush and counting sticks. My absolute favorite for a fresh complexion is Maybelline’s “Cheek Heat”. The gel-cream formula makes it comfortable to wear and the result looks super natural.

Benefit mascara for the perfect look

I wear very little make-up on a daily basis. Nevertheless, a good mascara that doesn’t stick and lengthens the lashes can never hurt. My go-to is the “Roller Lash” from Benefit, because the mascara does not clump and makes my lashes look thicker. It stays natural and I also imagine a nurturing effect.

Oribe Hair Oil

When it comes to my hair, I’m really very picky – especially when it comes to ingredients. Since my curls are naturally rather dry and unruly, oil helps to tame and condition them. I prefer to use “Hair Lust” from Oribe, the texture is light and yet nourishing.
