Long time no see
3 eyeshadow trends that are back now
We almost didn’t believe it anymore, but those three old eyeshadow trends are back – and more beautiful than ever.
Do you still remember the good old ones? Four-color palettesthat used to be in every make-up drawer? They weren’t that impractical at all. That is probably also the reason why more and more beauty brands are currently coming out with new eyeshadow quattros.
Compared to XXL pallets with 14 and more colors, with the Quattros we have to focus on the basics – and that is exactly what is currently in trend. Simple looks with few colors are what most of us really do in everyday life. As a rule, the colors in the Quattros are also perfectly coordinated. The possible uses are then limited, but we don’t have to think for half an hour in the morning what we actually want to make up.
Even if they were never completely gone, they have now found a new shine: eyeshadow sticks. The creamy eye shadows in pen form can (and should) move back into our collection. The textures usually dry in such a way that the eyeshadow doesn’t move an inch after blending – perfect in summer. In addition, the colors can be used really well for one-color looks.
Simply apply directly to the eyelid and blend the edges with an eyeshadow brush tied a little more tightly. If you like, you can also combine several colors. Cream and cream usually go very well with each other, but it takes a little practice for the transitions to look really soft.
Even longer lasting than cream eyeshadows are Liquid eyeshadows. The liquid texture also dries and can withstand any temperature, no matter how hot. As a rule, liquid eyeshadows are also much more opaque than creamy formulations. However, this also makes them a bit tricky to blend. Our tip: Take one eye at a time.
Incidentally, matte liquid eyeshadows are an excellent base for powder eyeshadows or other liquid textures. With the small applicators you can easily apply the product directly to the eyelids and also blend it easily. And: You can also use it to draw an eyeliner.
