According to the police, the trigger for the dispute between two residents of the asylum home in Steinhaus am Semmering was probably a music system. The confrontation then turned into a wild brawl among 30 to 40 refugees. Armchairs and tables flew through the rooms, and the furnishings were partially severely damaged. The security staff filed a complaint, whereupon several police patrols were alerted to the property. When they arrived, the situation had calmed down again.
