The supermarket chain Edeka has renamed the “Ice Snack Sandwich Moscow style” of its own brand “Gut & Billig”. Because of the war in Ukraine, it is now nicknamed “Kiev Art”. With this small step you want to express solidarity with the country, said an Edeka spokesman to “nordbayern.de”.
But the change is only temporary. In the long term, the product will simply be called “Ice Snack Sandwich”. This decision met with mixed reactions online. Numerous customers are sympathetic to the change, in which the “Moscow Art” is still clearly legible but has been demonstratively crossed out. They are happy about the clear stance of the supermarket chain.
