Theft on the set of “Beetlejuice 2”: An ornately decorated lantern and a sculpture disappeared from the location.

Two large props were stolen from the set of Beetlejuice 2. The police in the US state of Vermont has in a Press release reported on the two thefts. The first case happened on July 14th. A pickup truck drove to the location that day. The driver of the car lifted a large lamppost with a conspicuous pumpkin decoration from its base and loaded it onto the pickup truck. Then he is said to have driven away at high speed.

The second theft took place three days later. On July 17, someone stole an abstract statue. The sculpture, which resembles a mixture of hand and leaf, weighed around 70 kilograms. A similar character appeared in the first installment of the 1988 horror comedy, as artwork by Delia Deetz (Catherine O’Hara, 69).

“Beetlejuice 2”: Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder return

“Beetlejuice 2” is scheduled to hit American cinemas on September 6, 2024. Directed like the original Tim Burton (64). Nothing is known about the plot of the sequel – except that the eponymous dissolute spirit returns. As in the original, Michael Keaton (71) will take on the role of bio-exorcist in the sequel.

Winona Ryder (51) is also back in the game. In the original, she played the daughter of the family who moves into a house from which she is to be driven out by the deceased previous owners. Ryder now plays the adult Lydia Getz.

Willem Dafoe and Monica Bellucci are new

Jenna Ortega (20) takes on the role of Winona Ryder’s daughter in “Beetlejuice 2”. She became a teen icon thanks to Tim Burton’s series “Wednesday”. In the series offshoot of the “Addams Family” she plays the daughter of the creepy clan.

Other new actors include Willem Dafoe (68) and Monica Bellucci (58). The Italian recently revealed that she is dating Tim Burton.
