Season 15 of “Beijing Express” will be launched soon on M6. Viewers will find eight duets on a completely new route. And a new element made available to candidates that promises to spice up the race.
According to producer Thierry Guillaume, from Label Adventure Production, the participants’ journey will start in Kyrgyzstan, then pass through Uzbekistan, Jordan, before concluding in a final toured last summer in the United Arab Emirates. This 15e edition, called In the Land of the Golden Eagle, will be distinguished from the previous ones by the introduction of what the production has called a “Pass Express” (funny pun… but hey).
The latter promises to “destabilize the candidates who know the program by heart”, assures the host, Stéphane Rotenberg. What does it consist on ? This “Express Pass”, which participants will not be aware of when they start the race, will be given to the pair who will win the first event. It will allow them, if they were neither arrived last, nor immune, to play it at the end of the stage of their choice in order to avoid being chosen by another duo to face the pair who arrived last of the test during a face-to-face elimination.
With this new tool, Beijing Express is setting up a tool comparable to the “immunity collar” in Koh-Lanta. The pair in their possession will have to play it before the last of the competition name their opponent. It will only be valid once, and cannot be used beyond the 7the test. Note that the “express telephone”, which allowed candidates to contact their relatives during the adventure, has been removed from this edition.
