Ben l’oncle soul revisits John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’ in his new single

Ben l’oncle Soul signs a reggae adaptation of one of John Lennon’s cult titles, “Imagine”.

While the French soulman discovered in 2010 will release an album of covers on April 15 under the name of “Red mango”, he unveiled this Friday March 11 the second single from this opus. After “Stay” by Rihanna, presented at the end of January, the artist chose to revisit “Imagine” by John Lennon, still on reggae tunes.

A title that resonates with the news

A successful adaptation he recorded with the Monophonics. In his soulful voice climbing in the treble, Benjamin Duterde of his real name, takes up the words of the ex-Beatles: “Imagine all the people, living life in peace”. A veritable hymn to peace, which one cannot help but link to the dramatic news of the past two weeks.

A situation that Ben, his new artist name since 2020 and his latest opus “Addicted to you”, was far from imagining. “When we recorded this song, I did not expect it to resonate so much with the news today… I hope it will bring you a little warmth” explained the artist on his networks .

The release of this fifth album will be accompanied by a tour across France. Ben will hit the road from April 22 and will be at New Morning on May 16.
