Bénéteau: 39% drop in turnover in the 1st quarter of 2024


(CercleFinance.com) – The Group’s turnover amounted to €229 million in the first quarter of 2024, down 39% compared to a high comparison base (+57% in the first quarter of 2023).

Beyond base effects, this variation in activity is mainly linked to the variation in stocks at dealers.

The Sailing activity proved resilient (-25%). The decline was concentrated on monohull sailboats while sales of multihulls stabilized over the period, supported by the success of the EXCESS brand.

In this first quarter, which is not very representative given the seasonality of sales to boaters, the Engine activity is down 50% in 2024 after growth of 47% in the first quarter of 2023.
