Benjamin Castaldi: his terrible secrets about the cancer of his grandmother Simone Signoret

This Wednesday, January 26, in full live from Touche pas à mon poste, Benjamin Castaldi delivered poignant secrets about something that touches him to the highest degree: the death of his grandmother, who was suffering from cancer.

Like every day, the columnists of Do not touch My TVcome back to current events. And this Wednesday, January 26, Cyril Hanouna’s band logically discussed the terrible illness of singer Florent Pagny, who announced that he had lung cancer. The latter, forced to cancel his concert tour to undergo chemotherapy, greatly moved Valérie Bénaïm, who wanted to send a message.

“What should be emphasized is how much he brought courage to people because he named the disease, because they feel that they will fight together with him for their own cancer or the cancer of someone in the family”, she said, saluting the courage of Florent Pagny. It is true that cancer has long been a taboo disease. And that, Benjamin Castaldi knows something about it.

Benjamin Castaldi: “She didn’t want to say she had cancer”

The grandmother of the chronicler of C8, Simone Signoret, has never communicated on the real cause of his death: cancer of the pancreas. “Me, my grandmother, she had cancer at sixty-two, it was a shame”, said Benjamin Castaldi, adding: “We did not communicate, we said nothing. She stayed at home, she did the treatment at home because we did not want to say that she had cancer”. The former actress died on September 30, 1985, at the age of 64, in Normandy.

But nowadays, mores have changed, to the delight of the former presenter of Secret Story: “Today, speech is free, it’s a message for all those who are sick and it’s a lot of hope”, concluded Benjamin Castaldi, with a tone full of emotions.
