Once again beaten in the first round of a tennis tournament on Monday April 25, the Frenchman Benoît Paire had to face a wave of insults and threats on social networks. Harassed, the 60th best player in the world has completely lost his temper.
This Monday, April 25, Benoît Paire lost in the first round of the Estoril Tournament against the South Korean Soon-woo Kwon (6-4, 7-5). A new disappointment for the 60th player in the world, who has just experienced his… 10th defeat in a row. Obviously very disappointed with this poor performance, the supporters let him know, but in a much too vehement way: Benoît Paire left the court under many boos, whistles and insults.
But the tennis player’s reaction was disrespectful to say the least. Out of it, the companion of Julie Bertin lowered his shorts in front of the crowd in addition to posting a photo showing the middle finger on his Twitter account. And the least we can say is that his reaction caused a wave of hatred on social networks. Thus, Benoît Paire received in the wake of numerous threats from malicious supporters.
Benoît Paire victim of a wave of hatred on social networks
Instead of keeping it to himself by chomping at the bit before responding to his detractors on the pitch, Benoît Paire has decided to make the insults received public. “Is this normal for you?”, he posted in the comments of several screenshots of written and audio messages taking him to task. To go in its direction, it is obviously not normal to be at this point the target of digital harassment. But Benoît Paire is known for chaining escapades and for his angry behavior, which also earned him to be excluded from the Tokyo Olympics by the French tennis federation.
