(CercleFinance.com) – With gains of nearly 1.5%, Groupe Berkem rose on the stock market on Tuesday and largely outperformed the Parisian market following the announcement of a new exclusive partnership with the Dutch Barentz.
After an initial agreement covering the United States and Canada markets concluded at the beginning of November, Barentz will also become the exclusive distributor of the group’s sustainable ingredients in the German, Austrian and Swiss-German territories.
This partnership should relate, among other things, to the distribution of floral waters and plant extracts intended for skin, face, body and hair care.
In a press release, Berkem is pleased to have found in Barentz a “privileged partner” to support its international development.
Berkem, which specializes in plant-based chemicals, generated sales of 46 million euros last year, including an operating margin (EBITDA) of 20%.
The group has nearly 170 employees at its head office in Gironde and three industrial sites located in Dordogne, Gironde and Chartres (Eure-et-Loir).
