All these negative reactions could have triggered a bad-buzz, so Bernard Montiel came back to clarify the misunderstanding by posting a new message. According to him, it was the wording of his sentence that was misunderstood by the readers: it evoked the tomb of Eddy Barclay, and not the other artists quoted! “I mention the Microgroove Emperor, followed by the names of some artists whose careers he managed at some point! I never said they were dead, especially Serge Lama or Eddy Mitchell… I apologize if I misspoke… It seemed obvious to me!”, he clarified in good faith.
