From the UK to Spain: In autumn and winter 2022/23, the royals wow with a very specific color scheme: berry! From an intense cranberry to a covered blackberry nuance, everything is there.

We already know the Pantone color for 2023, it’s “Viva Magenta”. A rich color that is reminiscent of berry tones with its radiance. And the royals from England to Spain already seem to have fallen for the berry tones this autumn and winter. At least, you can see them again and again in fine sweaters, robes or coats in different berry shades. Did they agree on that? In any case, her looks inspire in all facets that berries have to offer: strawberry, blueberry or raspberry tones underline the chocolate sides of all of them.

Catherine, Princess of Wales is a fan of blackberry tones

Catherine, Princess of Wales, chose the trend color berry for the Royal Foundation’s Christmas concert in London in December. She dresses up her flowing coat by Eponine London with the matching accessories — in a lighter, yet rich blackberry scheme. This strong choice of color is particularly beautiful because the red-purple shimmering nuance looks wintry and festive at the same time and thus sets every type in the limelight.

Zara Tindall joins the berry trend

Zara Tindall also attends the Royal Foundation’s Christmas concert in London. She enchants in the double-breasted, Italian wool coat by Karen Millen and thus joins the royal color trend. However, it is not completely monochrome with her. She uses black accessories, which don’t steal the show from the rich nuance of the coat and thus make the color shine.

Queen Letizia shines in rich strawberries

Queen Letizia looks supremely glamorous in a floor-length gown designed by Massimo Dutti. This is not only due to the accentuated waist, but also to the bright color of the dress and shoes. The Spanish queen knows exactly which colors flatter her type. The warm red tone can be worn well by autumn and winter types with light or rosy complexions and dark hair.

Princess Leonor delighted in cranberry

At an event organized by the Spanish Red Cross in Madrid, Princess Leonor wears Mama Letizia’s checkered blazer, but wears a cranberry turtleneck sweater underneath. The festive red is reflected in the Carolina Herrera blazer in the form of delicate stripes and completes her look perfectly. The young princess also shows how the royal trend can be integrated into everyday life without too much extravagance.

Queen Máxima mixes blackberry and elderberry

The queen of colors, Queen Máxima, not only chooses a coat in lively blackberry, but also combines it directly with other similar colors: while the bright pink and the suit in elderberry complement the color of the coat, the Dutch queen tops her play of colors with gloves and pumps a muted blackberry tone.
