Bethesda closes its Bethesda.net launcher and migrates to Steam – Fallout 76

In a few weeks, Bethesda.net will no longer be. In any case, this is what Bethesda has just announced, to whom we mainly owe the Fallout series, or more recently DEATHLOOP. As of May, the platform will no longer be accessible.

Thereby, players will have to migrate to Steam this April, which will become the reference platform for these games, therefore, although they were already available. For players, Bethesda made it clear that absolutely nothing was going to change. All you have to do is migrate your data, and the rest will happen naturally. You will find your games, of course, without having to buy them back, but also your progress.

Although the exact migration process will be detailed in a few weeks, the studio takes the example of Fallout 76. No data, cosmetics or virtual currency will be lost. Players will have the opportunity to recover all of the things, and therefore will not lose anything that has been acquired in recent years, since the release. The only important fact is the Fallout 1st subscription, which will not be renewed automatically.

Side list of friends, again, you will not lose much, since it can also be found in-game.

Regarding Bethesda.net, know that the platform will close automatically in May. The games, and the launcher, will no longer be accessible at this time, although no date has been given for the moment.
