Only a few days left before getting our hands on Starfield, the Bethesda Space Exploration RPG. Before his official release on September 6, the editor lent himself to the game of questions/answers, and the least we can say is that he was not stingy with revelations. We thus learn of the existence of many previously unseen gameplay elements. The game looks even better than we imagined.

Among our favorites is the contraband management. In Starfield, nothing prevents you fromloading illicit goods onto your ship for resale to disreputable people. Except that it’s illegal in the whole gaming world. It’s up to you to trick conceal the cargo from the eyes of security systems orbiting major cities. For this, it will be necessary to invest in special modules to place on the ship. Did you get caught? Choose: pay a fine, go to jail or resist and try to escape. Yes, as in the Elder Scrolls series, Skyrim on your mind.

After a mission, one needs rest. And what better for that than a home? Starfield offers you to buy a house in most cities. Some are even offered as a quest reward. We don’t know if it will be possible to assign people from our group to them, or how customizable they will be. On the other hand, Bethesda tells us thatthere will be 20 named companions in total. Emphasis was placed on the 4 present at Constellationthe group of explorers you join at the start of the game.

With all due respect to absolute pacifists, it is apparently not possible to finish the game without killing anyone. Non-lethal options exist, but the developers do not guarantee that it will be tenable until the end. Finally, we note the presence of 3 major religions: Sanctum Universewho believes in the existence of God somewhere in the universe, The lightnings (or Illuminated/Awakened, depending on the French translation used), benevolent atheists, and the Va’ruun House, who thinks a…giant snake will soon encircle the world and devour humans. We are still hesitating on which one we will choose.
