Apple presented its new iPhone 13 smartphones during its keynote. Four possible sizes, two Pro versions, a mini model … and plenty of new features.
Apple unveiled this evening, Tuesday September 14, 2021, the iPhone 13, its new range of smartphones which will be marketed from September 24, and whose design remains unchanged from the iPhone 12. It will be available in four versions , all 5G compatible: iPhone 13 (6.1 inches, from € 909), iPhone 13 mini (5.4 inches, € 809), iPhone 13 Pro (6.1 inches, € 1159) and iPhone 13 Pro Max (6.7 inches, € 1,259). In its most premium version, the price can reach… 1839 €!
What is new on the menu for these new phones? In addition to a classic big gain in power, Apple has managed to integrate a larger battery that allows to gain autonomy (between 1:30 and 2:30 announced depending on the model). This is always taken because it is not necessarily Apple’s strong point, even if efforts have been noted on the latest models.

iPhone 13: more than ever the king of photography (and video)
On the photo side too, Apple has reworked its copy. Mechanical stabilization of the main sensor on all models for even less blurry shots, 47% more light captured on the wide-angle for always successful photos even in the dark… as well as a Cinematic video mode.
The latter allows to play on the focus on different planes but is also capable of detecting subjects which will enter the field. We can thus modify the focus on the subject of the action on the fly and follow its movements. Perfect for budding filmmakers… or future influencers who want to create quality, easy-to-edit videos to share on social networks.

The screen is also improved. The “notch”, the black notch that accommodates the front camera, takes up less space (about 20% less, Apple announces). In terms of brightness too, Apple has made efforts. The Pro and Pro Max versions have a luminous power of the screen which makes it possible to read in direct sunlight without discomfort. Finally, the screen is protected by a Ceramic Shield glass, more resistant to impact, which is combined with a frame in 100% recycled aluminum. And the iPhone 13 is, like its predecessors, waterproof (IP68 standard). A real good point.
Color wise, the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini are available in five tones: a new “powder pink”, blue, midnight (black), starlight (white) and (PRODUCT) RED. On the storage side, Apple is not doing half-way: from 128 GB for the iPhone 13 (double the storage compared to the previous version) and up to 1 TB for the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max.
Marketed on September 24, the different models can be pre-ordered from September 17.
