It's time to say goodbye: Actor Kai Noll is leaving "Unter Uns" after 17 years. What happens to his character Rufus Sturm?
Series favorite Kai Noll (55) leaves "Unter uns". After more than 17 years, the actor, who embodies Rufus Sturm in the RTL early evening series, has decided to turn his back on the fictional Cologne Schillerallee. The actor and his role have seen a lot since the first "Unter Uns" flap fell for him in 2003: numerous relationships, a job as a taxi driver, then as a book author under the pseudonym Vera Zeller, and finally the dramatic kidnapping of his daughter Lotta (Laurena Leihrich, 15).
When is the last episode with Kai Noll coming?
His role Rufus Sturm will leave Cologne after the kidnapping drama and move with Lotta to his daughters Lili (Sarah Bogen, 30) and Romy (Sarah Ulrich, 31) in Namibia. And Kai Noll? The actor plans to stay in Cologne for the time being. "Cologne has become a real home for me in the last 17 years and I think that I will devote myself more to music again," said the actor in an interview with RTL. "I think both Rufus and Kai need to see a new perspective again."
Kai Noll already had his last day of shooting. His farewell episodes will be available on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 and Wednesday, September 2, 2020 from 6 p.m. on TVNow. It will be broadcast on TV a week later, on September 8 and 9, 2020.
