Beverin wolves released for shooting – view

The Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN) has approved the shooting request from Graubünden, the canton announced on Monday. District President Mario Cavigelli then ordered the shooting down immediately. Game rangers will kill the three young wolves, if possible in packs, in order to scare the wolves off.

The wolves of the Beverin pack had recently repeatedly approached people dangerously. In August, for example, a shepherdess met wolves twice while exploring an alp on the Schamserberg. Once the wild animals attacked the shepherd dog and did not leave until the shepherdess drew attention to herself in a loud voice.
