In the midst of her battle with cancer, actress Shannen Doherty has filed for divorce from husband Kurt Iswarienko after 11 years of marriage.
It’s a surprising love affair: “Beverly Hills, 90210” actress Shannen Doherty, 52, is divorcing her husband, photographer Kurt Iswarienko, 48, after eleven years of marriage.
“It was the last thing she wanted”
A statement from the actress’ rep obtained by TMZ said: “Divorce is the last thing Shannen wanted. Unfortunately, she felt she had no other option.” The couple, who have no children together, are said to have split in January. Shannen’s friends had confided to the celebrity portal that her health was “not good” and that the divorce was very bitter for her. According to documents, she is said to be fighting for spousal support. The two had not previously signed a contract.

The divorce comes at a difficult time for the popular series actress: Shannen Doherty has been battling her breast cancer for years. Her husband has been by her side so far. Doherty was previously married twice: to Ashley Hamilton, 48, from 1993 to 1994 and to Rick Salomon, 55, from 2003 to 2004.
