Beware of calls – fake investigators: real police warn again!

The nasty scam is not new – only the pretended “investigation reasons” change again and again: At the moment, fraudsters are again up to mischief in Tyrol – especially in the greater Innsbruck area – who pretend to be police officers on the phone and their chosen victims with dubious fairy tales Want to pull money out of your pocket. Such fraudulent calls are currently being made again, especially in the greater Innsbruck area. “To their chosen victims, the callers with a German accent pretend to be a detective and warn them of alleged burglaries in the immediate vicinity,” said the real investigators. In order to prevent those called from becoming victims of burglars, they are instructed by the supposed police officers to collect their valuables and cash and then to hand them over to an “officer” – “for safekeeping”, is often claimed.
