BFMTV: Maxime Switek takes over Bruce Toussaint’s hut in the morning, and a new sidekick for Laurent Ruquier

Marc-Olivier Fogiel, boss of BFMTV, has just unveiled the new schedule for his news channel. Maxime Switek succeeds Bruce Toussaint at the helm of the morning show. The journalist, who presented the 10 p.m. to midnight, leaves his chair to Julie Hammett, accomplice of Laurent Ruquier. The PAF star will therefore have a new sidekick at his side from January…

The game of musical chairs continues at BFMTV… Three months after the launch of the new audiovisual season, the news channel is shaking up its schedule. The fault of the totally unexpected departure of Bruce Toussaint, who is leaving the ship to host a morning show on TF1 next January.

Maxime Switek joined BFMTV in 2020

With his back against the wall, BFM boss Marc-Olivier Fogiel had no choice but to draw on his in-house talents to replace his star journalist. It is therefore Maxime Switek, incarnation since 2020 of 10 p.m. to midnight, who takes control of BFM’s 9 a.m. to noon, from January. Maxime Switek himself will be replaced by a certain Julie Hammett, host of the early evening slot (8 p.m.-10 p.m.) alongside Laurent Ruquier since the start of the school year.

Alice Darfeuille, new accomplice of Laurent Ruquier

The PAF star will therefore have a new sidekick, Alice Darfeuille, until now in charge of the weekend evenings. “We are also starting to think about and build what’s next for the start of the school year in September,” assures Marc-Olivier Fogiel in a press release.
