Billie Eilish: She criticizes magazine for her alleged coming out

Singer Billie Eilish (21) has accused the US entertainment magazine “Variety” of outing her. In the interview she refers to, published on November 13th, the “Bad Guy” singer hinted that she was attracted to women. She told the magazine: “I never really felt like I could have a good relationship with girls. I love them so much. I love them as people. I’m attracted to them as people. I’m really attracted to them attracted.”

In another Variety interview on the red carpet Last Saturday the artist was explicitly asked about her sexual orientation. Eilish responded, “I didn’t realize people didn’t know that. Why can’t we just be? I’ve been doing this for a long time and I just haven’t talked about it.”

Billie Eilish: “Thank you for outing me”

But Billie Eilish apparently doesn’t really like the public discussion of her sexuality. In an Instagram post on Sunday The 21-year-old singer, who doesn’t believe in the concept of “coming out,” expressed her frustration.

“Thank you Variety for my award and also for outing me on a red carpet at 11 a.m. instead of talking about anything else that matters – I like boys and girls – leave me alone, please “Really, who cares?” says the post, which she illustrated with, among other things, lowered pants and a belt with two women as buckles.

At the Variety ceremony, Eilish and her brother Finneas accepted the award for Song of the Year for “What Was I Made For” from “Barbie.”
