Recently, musicians have been injured at concerts by objects thrown onto the stage by fans. Most recently, it hit singer Harry Styles (29) during his performance in Vienna. Now his famous colleague Billie Eilish (21) has commented on this worrying trend – and emphasized that it is actually nothing new.

“I’ve had objects thrown at me on stage for six years, I don’t know why it’s so relevant now,” the singer explained at the request of the “Hollywood Reporter” on the sidelines of the “Barbie” world premiere in Los Angeles, where she appeared on the pink carpet with her brother Finneas (25). “People are just so excited and that can be dangerous,” she described the situation at concerts.

Her brother noted on the subject that fans often don’t even try to meet the artist. Rather, they would normally throw their phones to get photos and not throw tomatoes or oranges in protest. But standing up there is still absolutely annoying, according to his sister.

Appeal to fans not to throw stuff

“I have mixed feelings about it because when you’re up there it sucks, but you know it’s for love and they’re just trying to give you something,” Billie Eilish continued. “You’re in a vulnerable position, but I’ve had things thrown at me for years.” With an appeal, the siblings addressed the fans directly: “Don’t do it – we understand it, but just don’t do it,” Finneas demanded, while Billie added: “Don’t throw things on stage, we love you anyway ; It is very sweet.”
